Summer Wine

‘Boisakh- Joishthyo’ – the two months of Indian summer! While we marvel at the beauty of Spring, we feel humbled at the ‘maturity and mellow fulfilment’ of Autumn, Summer comes with its own Beauty as well! The Gulmohars in full bloom, the Jarul and the Amaltas that dazzle our eyes with the brilliance of their hues! The  pierce hooting of the hawk as it flies high above in circular motion on a slow , long summer afternoon that eventually  breaks into a pleasant summer evening – the southern wind , the ‘ malai kulfi’ , the sweet fragrance of ‘Mogra’! Yes, Summer has its beauty too!

With Summer, we prefer wearing fabrics that are light, breezy and cool! At ‘Wearableart by Dola’, we have created this wonderful Summer Collection, keeping in mind, Comfort and Beauty. Fabrics chosen have been Cotton, Kota Doria, Chanderi and Maheshwari! Each saree is handwoven and handcrafted, the designs- simple and aesthetically pleasant! The colours chosen are pastels as well as brighter and warmer hues, earthy tones, jewel colours! Each saree is a tribute to the rich variety of Indian handloom and handicrafts! We have lovingly called this collection ‘ Summer Wine’ !
