Vriksh – The charm of Chanderi sarees is celebrated amongst the handloom connoisseurs all over. Chanderi, the cluster for such fine sarees is in Madhya Pradesh, India. ‘Vriksh’ is one such Cotton by Silk handwoven Chanderi saree with an intricate design layout. A rich shade of reddish – pink, with woven golden zari bootas all over the body of the saree. The Pallu has intricately woven, golden zari trees, with meenakari done with green resham thread, depicting birds perched on the trees! Each of these motifs have been woven by hand separately to form a rich, complex and intricate design pattern. At Wearableart by Dola, we work with artisans in Chanderi, who are the custodians of this age old weave and we love to bring forth, the stories of our ancient weaving legacy.
