Colour Purple – The charm of Chanderi sarees is celebrated amongst the handloom connoisseurs all over. Chanderi, the cluster for such fine sarees is in Madhya Pradesh, India. ‘Colour Purple’ is one such fine Cotton by Silk handwoven Chanderi saree with an unusual design layout. The golden brown woven stripes in the body of the saree, alternates with deep Purple coloured stripes and culminates into the purple pallu with zari woven ‘Tree of Life’ motifs! The zari border with its red selvedge, adds a depth to the saree and a contrast of such unusual colours! At Wearableart by Dola, we work with artisans in Chanderi, who are the custodians of this age old weave and we love to bring forth, the stories of our ancient weaving legacy
